Job Title: Trades Assistant We are seeking Trades Assistant to provide assistance and support to the tradespersons on mechanical repairs and servicing on all mobile and fixed plant equipment. This is a residential role to Kalgoorlie, based out of our Kalgoorlie Service Centre, working Monday – Friday (10 hour days). Key Responsibilities General housekeeping and cleaning of workshop General assistance for tradespeople – mixture of Diesel Fitters, LV Fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians, and Auto Electricians Machine cleaning including high pressure washing Parts and supplies running between work site and workshop Provide support to maximise availability of fixed and mobile plant & equipment with efficient, on time cost effective maintenance and repair Attend and contribute to pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required Complete all pre‑start checks prior to use of equipment Conduct Take 5’s and JSA’s when required Requirements Experience as a TA or Labourer Mechanical aptitude Valid Australian manual driver’s licence Current forklift ticket Current first aid & CPR qualification The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised Good communication skills, both verbally and written A positive work ethic and attitude, upholding Redpath’s principle – Safety – First, Last and Always Benefits Career paths through internal promotions Investment in training in OEM Accredited Trade Courses Business improvement and innovation rewards Salary Sacrifice for Superannuation and Novated car leasing Discounted health insurance with BUPA Employee Assistance – 4 sessions per annum, well‑being assistance that is free for all the family About Redpath In 1962, Jim Redpath’s vision for the company was to offer a high level of service to the mining industry, exceeding current standards and providing challenge for employees.
