Supportive multidisciplinary Emergency Department with a strong learning culture Diverse patient population offering rich clinical exposure Commitment to professional development, innovation and quality improvement Collaborative leadership focused on safety, education and staff wellbeing Part of a values-driven Local Health District What you'll be doing As the Clinical Nurse Educator – Emergency, you will lead, coordinate and deliver high-quality clinical education to support nursing staff and students to achieve and maintain competency in a complex emergency care setting. Deliver and evaluate orientation, induction and ongoing clinical education programs Apply adult learning principles to mentor and support nurses across all levels Conduct competency assessments, monitor progress and provide timely feedback Partner with managers, educators and clinical leaders to meet operational and strategic education needs Embed evidence-based practice, reflective learning and continuous improvement in emergency nursing education How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria Registration: Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Selection Criteria Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and post registration qualification in Emergency Nursing and nursing professional development. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care. Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty. Training & Assessment (TAA) qualification or Certificate IV in Workplace Training or working towards. Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment. Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture.
