Mental Health Clinician Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE) Are you looking for a challenging yet highly rewarding opportunity in mental health? Southwest Healthcare is seeking a passionate Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) team. Make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing acute suicidal ideation or recovering from a suicide attempt. About the Role The HOPE program provides specialised, evidence-based mental health support to individuals aged 16 and over. Our team delivers tailored biological, psychological, and social interventions to meet each person's unique needs over a three‑month engagement period. Some work occurs outside regular business hours, with shifts scheduled at least one month in advance, offering both flexibility and structured planning. Position Overview Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO. Part time applications are also welcome – please indicate your preferred hours in your application. Location: Warrnambool Campus Classification & Salary Range (pro rata + superannuation): Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $100,932.00 – $112,091.20 Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $88,030.80 – $101,197.20 Social Worker Grade 2: $88,030.80 – $101,197.20 Provisional Psychologist completing a 5+1 internship are encouraged to apply and will be well supported through a structured internship program. This includes regular individual and group supervision, as well as one dedicated day per week allocated for professional development, case report writing, and maintaining logbooks. What You Will Bring Relevant qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Occupational Therapy. Current AHPRA registration (or AASW eligibility for Social Workers). Demonstrated experience in mental health clinical settings. Strong understanding of recovery principles and trauma‑informed care. Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
