What You’ll Do (but Not Limited To) Responsible for co-ordinating the development and implementation of all Traffic Guidance Schemes to facilitate the project works Monitor and manage Traffic Guidance Scheme submissions so they align with the construction program to ensure all traffic related approvals are obtained prior to construction requirements Manage competing priorities, solve problems, and deliver a safe temporary traffic outcomes within a tight transport corridor. Advise and support the project team to during planning to ensure works are staged and implemented in accordance with AGTTM / QGTTM and contract requirements. Monitor the transport network operations and expedite activities that create unexpected disruption to the transportation network. Management and coordination of Subcontractor Traffic controllers Independently manage Roads and Traffic documentation in compliance with quality control systems, relevant legislation and policies and procedures, and effective utilisation of document management system Complete site inspections and audits in accordance with AGTTM / QGTTM, project and Georgiou requirements Liaise with road authorities and project administration team for timely notification and engagement of the community (business owners, road users and other stakeholders) in advance of alterations to existing traffic conditions What You’re Good At Demonstrated experience on Transport Main Roads projects and/or major civil construction projects with traffic management as a nominated traffic officer Comprehensive understanding of Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management and QLD supplements Completed the Transport and Main Roads approved Traffic Management Design Training Course (required) Completed a Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent (preferred) RPEQ certification, or RPEQ eligibility (preferred) Good time management skills Good communication and interpersonal skills We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team We welcome applicants of all cultures, backgrounds and identities; people with disabilities, members of the LGBTIQ+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and current or former members of the Australian Defence Force, including veterans and reservists.
