About the Role : This 4-year Apprenticeship offers you nationally accredited training, awarding you upon successful completion, a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical with a machinist focus. This program will be delivered through the PEER Group Training Organisation (GTO) at Albert Park in collaboration with TAFE SA (Regency Campus), in addition to onsite work placements with employers operating at the forefront of the defence industry in various locations across SA Manufacturing Parts: Creating components from raw materials using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. Reading Drawings: Interpreting engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications. Precision Work: Performing highly accurate measurements and fitting parts to tight tolerances (e.g., 0.01-0.02mm). Assembly & Fitting: Assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical equipment and components. Maintenance & Repair: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment. You will be mentored and supported every step of the way. PEER has a dedicated Apprentice and Trainee Supervisor who will support you throughout your apprenticeship.
