Task & Responsibilities Produce detailed drawings for components, assemblies, and mechanical systems Update and revise drawings in line with engineering changes Create bills of materials, part lists, and supporting documentation Ensure all drawings comply with drafting standards and project specifications Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and workshop teams to ensure design accuracy Coordinate with suppliers to clarify material specifications and manufacturing needs Conduct basic site measurements and verification checks Maintain drawing registers and revision histories Prepare layouts, assembly diagrams, and technical information for project delivery Technical Tasks Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, KeyCreator and Inventor Draft mechanical assemblies, equipment layouts, and component level documentation Produce isometric drawings, orthographic projections, exploded diagrams, and instructions Assist with modelling tasks for design development and fabrication planning Liaise with workshop teams to resolve drafting queries Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related discipline Minimum 1 year drafting experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment Experience preparing drawings for fabrication or assembly Exposure to mechanical projects involving machinery, equipment layouts, or structural components Skills Required Proficiency in CAD drafting software Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and tolerancing Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and document control skills Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and workshop teams About Company AZANO Pty Ltd is a well established Australian company committed to delivering reliable and high quality services across its operations.
