About the role Expressions of interest for (1) Plant Operator to join our team in our ANE Manufacturing Plant in Pippingarra W.A. This role is reporting to Site Supervisor - Manufacturing Production. The purpose of this plant is to manufacture ANE Emulsion used in the blasting procedure within the mining and quarrying sectors. The position is currently Thursday to Thursday, an 8:6 roster, Day shift only 6am-6pm. The successful candidate will be required to live in the Port Hedland area. What you will be doing Working autonomously and performing all production and administration tasks required to enable the manufacturing plant to run at its optimum levels. Assisting with plant maintenance tasks whilst maintaining particular emphasis and focus around adhering to all Orica Safety, Health and Environment guidelines. Training will be provided in all key areas to assist with manufacturing. This is a varied role where the Operator will be responsible for carrying out physical and labour‑intensive duties relating to production and maintenance as well as administrative and computing duties relating to inventory, data and product management. Operating Critical equipment including Pumps and Augers. What you will bring Previous experience as a fixed plant operator preferred but not essential, preferably within chemical manufacturing. Previous experience in the Manufacturing of Explosives highly advantageous. Previous manual labouring experience preferred. Forklift license is preferred (will train right applicant). C class license is essential. Ability to pass all relevant security checks. Ability to demonstrate strong adherence to safe work practices. Intermediate computer skills an advantage (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, SAP). Ability to work in a team environment.
