Quarry Manager

Quarry Manager Boral is actively seeking a strategic & people focused Quarry Manager to oversee our Booyal Quarry (50 mins from Bundaberg). Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead all functionalities of the Quarry, specifically focusing on P&L, cost control, processing knowledge, production planning, drill and blast, and the customer experience. You will partner with internal stakeholders and the wider community to drive meaningful relationships. Your commercial acumen will enable identification of cost efficiencies, growth and process improvements. Your day will involve Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes to meet performance outcomes. Managing daily operations, delivering on agreed priorities of cost control and production in line with quality, budgeting and forecasts. Working with the Sales team to deliver the site’s revenue expectations. People leadership – hands‑on management of staff and contractors. Ensuring the site complies with current licensing, consents and regulatory requirements. Contributing to strategic planning and execution of short‑term and long‑term capital works and maintenance. What we are looking for 5 years experience in mining or quarrying. Strong knowledge of the Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health Act & Regulations. Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying and crushing processes. Ability to understand a P&L, plan and manage a budget. Proven leadership experience in quarrying operations or mining. Experience developing and managing budgets including controlling expenditure and costs. Experience in LEAN manufacturing is highly regarded. Appropriate quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary qualifications.
