Leading Hand Carpenter – Modular Construction Toowoomba QLD | Yard-Based Role | Ongoing Work Join a fast-growing modular construction company delivering high-quality modular buildings from a well-established yard-based operation in Toowoomba. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter looking for stable, consistent work with no off-site travel. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a small team, staying hands-on with the tools, and working on structured modular builds in one location. The Role As a Leading Hand Carpenter, you will oversee and work alongside a small team of carpenters and trades in a yard-based environment. You’ll play a key role in assembling modular homes, transportable buildings, and amenities from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity on every build. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a small team of carpenters and trades Remain hands-on with all aspects of carpentry and modular fit-outs Complete internal fit-outs including walls, doors, bathrooms, cabinetry, and finishes Install doors, frames, and complete minor painting and touch-ups Coordinate daily tasks and workflow within the yard Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace Ensure work is completed to a high standard and on schedule What We’re Looking For Strong carpentry experience within construction or modular building Previous experience as a Leading Hand or senior carpenter High attention to detail and pride in workmanship Confident using hand and power tools Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate clearly with a team Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work What’s On Offer Monday to Friday, stable yard-based work Long-term, ongoing role with a strong pipeline of work Supportive team culture with a focus on safety and quality Genuine opportunities for career growth within a growing company Apply Now Submit your resume or a brief overview of your experience.
