Gaming Attendant

Pay Rate: $33.72 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus meal allowance when the shift is 5.5 hours or more. Requirements: Must be over 18 years of age and hold a valid RSA & RCG. Job Summary The Gaming Attendant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in the gaming area, while also assisting with food and beverage service as required. This role includes supporting gaming operations, maintaining cleanliness, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Primary Purpose To provide a consistent and high-quality standard of service to all members and guests, creating a welcoming and positive experience within the gaming and hospitality areas. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of gaming regulations (preferred) Responsibilities Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner Assist with gaming floor operations and patron support Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately when required Handle cash and card transactions correctly Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gaming and service areas Monitor gaming activities and ensure compliance with all policies and legal requirements Qualifications Must be over 18 years of age Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certificate Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification preferred Previous hospitality or customer service experience advantageous but not essential Willingness to learn and work as part of a team About Us The Canberra Southern Cross Club is one of Canberra’s largest private employers, with four hospitality venues and several fitness centres across the region.
