The Opportunity… We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team for a period of three months with possible perm opportunity. The Management Accountant plays a critical role in supporting financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic decision‑making. This position is responsible for preparing, analysing management reports, ensuring accuracy of financial data, maintaining cost controls, and delivering timely insights to improve profitability and efficiency across the group. The Position… This role will be immersed in the engineering and manufacturing teams working alongside the manager of the division to oversee the end‑to‑end accounting function for allocated entities and divisions, ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting requirements, and provide financial advice that supports commercial decision‑making. The role requires strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and the ability to partner effectively with operational business units. Responsibilities: Financial reporting and analysis support Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis. Develop and maintain cost and margin analysis frameworks Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and stakeholders. Accounts reconciliation and general ledger management Budgeting, forecasting, and planning Collaborate with managers to align financial objectives with operational goals. Inventory and cost management Monitor cost structures and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and financial performance. Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and submission of GST and other tax obligations. Who we are looking for... We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant within the manufacturing and or engineering industry with: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field 3 to 5 years proven experience as an Accountant Strong financial analysis and budgeting skillsAdvanced understanding of company accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with cross‑functional teams. Why this position?
