Miniquip Hire is seeking a Rental Hire Assistant / Yard Coordinator Dual Role to join our dynamic team in Forrestdale. This full‑time position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot and fleet of equipment. We take great pride in the presentation of our machines and yard. The employee will work closely with the Fleet Controllers, Workshop and Wash Bay to keep the area and operations flowing efficiently. What you’ll be doing YARD Organise and maintain an efficient layout of the hire equipment and other materials to ensure a safe and tidy work environment. Conduct pre‑hire and off‑hire inspections when equipment goes out and is returned. Assist truck drivers with load/unload of deliveries. Assist customers with equipment handovers and load/unload of pickups. Assist the wash bay with cleaning returned machinery when required. Deliver and collect equipment (if holding an HR licence). OFFICE Take calls and manage bookings. Liaise with customers to organise deliveries/collections. Greet clients and ensure contracts/paperwork is thoroughly completed. Take payments and finalise invoices. Communicate with other yard hands, wash bay and truck drivers to keep operations running smoothly. What we’re looking for Previous experience in an equipment hire role (preferred but not essential). Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Great communication and customer‑service skills. Physically fit and capable. Forklift licence, HR licence and experience moving machinery highly advantageous. A positive, proactive and team‑orientated attitude. What we offer Competitive rates and overtime opportunities.
