We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our electrical engineering team in the APAC region. Why Aggreko? What You’ll Do Lead and mentor the electrical engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards. Design and engineer electrical systems for mining and power generation projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards. Manage electrical engineering aspects of projects from conception through commissioning, collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders. Utilise simulation tools such as PowerFactory and CDEGS to model and optimise electrical systems. Implement safety standards and risk management practices to ensure all designs and installations are secure and compliant. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, delivering technical presentations and reports. Skills and Experience Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree or Chartered Professional Engineer certification is preferred. Minimum of 10 years in electrical design for mining and power generation, with a strong understanding of Australian standards. Proficiency in HV substation design, earthing studies, and simulation tools like PowerFactory and CDEGS. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage team dynamics and stakeholder expectations. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients and stakeholders.
