Position Overview We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our high‑performing engineering team. In this senior technical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high‑impact software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams — including product management, design, and infrastructure — to define the technical vision and guide the execution of complex engineering initiatives that shape our platform’s future. Key Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and delivery of complex software systems and platform components. Define and evolve the technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security. Partner with product and engineering leadership to align technical strategies with business goals. Mentor and coach engineers across multiple teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Conduct technical reviews, code audits, and architectural assessments to maintain high engineering standards. Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, DevOps, and continuous integration/deployment. Collaborate cross‑functionally to solve challenging technical problems and remove delivery bottlenecks. Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve productivity and product quality. Qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or principal role. Deep expertise in designing and building large‑scale distributed systems or cloud‑native applications. Strong proficiency in (primary tech stack, e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#, Node.js), and familiarity with modern frameworks and tools. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, and API design. Excellent understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimisation. Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders through strong communication and technical leadership.
