About the role : In the Tax division at Forvis Mazars, we work with our clients to provide tax solutions that will help them achieve their objectives. By joining Forvis Mazars, you will be a part of one agile, integrated and collaborative team across sectors, services and geographies. You will have the opportunity to advise on a broad spectrum of taxes and work across a variety of clients, from private to large global corporations. This role lends itself to you initially building broad skills and tax knowledge as you develop expertise in a specialisation of your choice, as follows : Providing high level tax advice in all areas of taxation (International, Commonwealth and State) Planning and structuring, transactions and investments Researching, analysing and interpreting tax legislation with an emphasis of practical, written advice to assist business decision makers Liaison and negotiate with the ATO and Revenue Authorities Some taxation compliance responsibilities including return and BAS preparation Report to the Tax Partners in a small team environment Developing a direct advisory responsibility to clients, other Mazars Partners and the Mazars international network About you : Ideally, around 4 - 7 or more years experience in Tax Advisory within an Australian accounting firm Preference for a Master of Laws or Tax Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills Willingness to learn in specialist areas such as Transfer Pricing, GST and state taxes Why Forvis Mazars?
