Executive Contract Officer 4 – Remuneration Package Range $302,742 Strategy, Programs and Enabling Services Darwin One full‑time vacancy fixed for 4 years is available Overview Apply your senior executive experience and strategic leadership to drive strategic planning, reform programs and initiatives across child protection, domestic and family violence, multicultural affairs, and senior’s recognition. Responsibilities Provide strategy leadership and management to develop and implement the Department’s strategic priorities and reform agenda, including commissioning of services in children and families, domestic, family and sexual violence, homelessness and emergency response and recovery portfolios. Oversee fiscal oversight, quality assurance, legal and enabling functions that enable delivery of high‑quality services and development of the Department’s strategy, strategic settings and commissioning of services designed to meet the needs of local communities. Lead and embed governance, assurance and continuous improvement activities to enable evidence‑based frontline services. Oversee implementation of strategic programs, policies and reform initiatives, and provide high‑level strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Ministers and key stakeholders on program strategies, fiscal and operational performance and reform initiatives and strategic commissioning. Qualifications Demonstrated success leading a large multi‑disciplinary team in a complex operating environment. Proven experience in workforce development and fiscal management. Strong understanding of current and emerging social, economic and policy issues that impact the Northern Territory. Political acumen, cultural competence and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build organisational capability and ensure responsive and effective change management.
