Coffee please When you volunteer with us, you'll be spending time with elderly residents from HammondCare Wahroonga residential aged care home. This is an opportunity to provide create a café like environment, setting the cups and saucers, making coffee and serving some light refreshments. Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. About HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the residents living at HammondCare, 10 Murrua Road, North Turramurra. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support Food Preparation & Service Seniors & Aged Care Time Required We are seeking to fill a morning session of 10-12pm Monday to Friday weekly or fortnightly. Training Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator.
