Responsibilities Develop and maintain Azure based web API and portal applications to support existing legislative reporting requirements and new regulatory processes. Integrate various system components to achieve a seamless end‑to‑end experience for users. Provide technical advice on system development issues. Apply secure coding practices and processes to ensure delivered solutions are secure and robust. Conduct peer reviews of code and infrastructure. Understand and code against detailed application architecture documents. Ensure that best practice and departmental standards are applied and managed. Create and review technical and release documentation. Effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Collaborate with a cross‑functional team working in an agile structure. Mentor team members to promote harmony and support cross‑skilling professional development. Instill a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a team environment. Undertake additional duties as required. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience implementing secure web‑based business solutions. Experience developing Web/REST APIs using Function Apps, Azure API Manager, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, asynchronous messaging services, and customer‑facing web portal development using .NET Framework (including .NET Core) and ASP.NET. Experience developing web applications using either Angular or React and implementing Single Sign‑On authentication and role‑based access using Azure Entra ID. Familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM), its controls, and how to apply them to a solution design and build. Experience with unit, integration, and automation testing using xUnit, nUnit, Selenium, Playwright.Net. Cloud experience: demonstrated experience in cloud‑based solution implementation with Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, and Azure API Manager. Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio for code development, management, repositories, and deployments (CI/CD). Experience integrating custom built apps with third‑party systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. Extensive experience developing on Azure platforms and optimising complex legacy code to fully utilise benefits of Azure Cloud environment. Agile experience: working with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver secure, user‑friendly and reliable solutions that meet stakeholder, citizen, and business expectations. Ability to pragmatically change direction and scope as new information is discovered and challenges or opportunities present themselves. Benefits and Requirements 12‑month engagement with extensions.
