Senior Functional Consultant

Our client is a leading organisation, who are implementing an industry‑leading, custom‑built enterprise product. We seek a consultative Senior Functional Consultant to join the team. This role will really suit someone who holds their skills in high regard as a Functional Consultant and wants to play a meaningful part in an enterprise‑wide transformation. The role revolves around end‑to‑end discovery through to implementation and configuration of an in‑house built product . You’ll be expected to learn, own, and configure the product , becoming a key functional expert within the program. Key Responsibilities Leading discovery activities to understand business processes, requirements, and objectives. Translating business needs into clear functional specifications and supporting solution design. Owning configuration and functional setup of the custom‑built enterprise product. Supporting testing, validation, and deployment activities across multiple workstreams. Providing insights and recommendations to drive adoption, process improvement, and solution optimisation. Acting as a trusted advisor throughout the transformation, ensuring functional alignment with business goals. Conducting gap analysis, impact assessment, and process mapping across multiple business areas. Supporting solution design activities in collaboration with technical teams and SMEs. Providing ongoing functional oversight across implementation phases to ensure requirements are met. Troubleshooting functional issues, analysing root causes, and recommending improvements or configuration updates. Key Requirements Strong experience as a Functional Consultant across enterprise platforms or large‑scale transformations. Ability to quickly learn new systems and take full ownership of product configuration. Demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end functional delivery from discovery to implementation. Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong analytical ability with experience in process design and functional problem‑solving. The successful candidate will have worked across complex product implementations and have very strong skills in discovery sessions and product functionality alignment.
