About ABC Audiences
ABC Audiences is made up of a passionate group of marketing, brand, creative, audience experience, UX and audience insights specialists who have audiences at the heart of all they do. They're responsible for leading the ABC’s brand and audience strategies, acquiring and engaging audiences both within our broadcast and digital ecosystems and working collaboratively with partner divisions to lead an integrated approach to audience insights, branding, acquisition and retention strategies, and communication.
About the Role
Become a champion for ABC Kids, Childrens and Family programs. We are seeking a creative, inspiring and strategic publicist to showcase our award-winning content to targeted audiences including, media, industry and the Australian public. Fantastic opportunity to join an iconic Australian institution and further develop your career. The role will involve;

Developing and implementing innovative national publicity campaigns for ABC programs and campaigns, with a focus on ABC Kids and ABC Childrens content.
Assisting in the development of influencer marketing (earned media) strategies for priority ABC Kids/ Childrens programs to generate reach and widespread positive communications across all earned media channels.
Identifying and developing promotional and cross platform opportunities to enhance publicity activities and marketing campaigns.
Scheduling and coordinating interviews, TV appearances, photo shoots, set visits, radio interviews, digital initiatives, events and promotional opportunities with wider publicity, social and marketing teams.

About You
You have passion and enthusiasm for promoting ABC Children’s content and can think outside-the box to reach new audiences.
Your skills and experience will include;

Experience in communications/publicity preferably in a large complex organisation.
Strong stakeholder management skills with existing solid media relationships and an ability to establish relationships with internal stakeholders, external parties, media and production companies.
Understanding and knowledge of the evolving Australian media landscape with a proven ability to identify digital opportunities as part of a publicity campaign.
Excellent problem solving and reputational management skills, including ability to make logical judgements, prioritise and solve problems.
Proven understanding of ABC content, talent, channels and platforms.
