Shutdown Superintendent

KAEFER Integrated Services is looking for a Shutdown Superintendent to join an upcoming shutdown in Gladstone. Start date Jan/Feb 2026. The position will start Jan/Feb with the pre‑shut work, and the shutdown will run from the beginning of April. Must be local to Gladstone QLD. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage all on‑site shutdown activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Coordinate and schedule employees ensuring timely and efficient project completion. Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, progress and challenges. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality and safety compliance. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and change orders. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment on‑site. Assist with implementation of systems, controls and training to ensure labour productivity is within budget. Oversee and be accountable for shutdown logistics, utilising on‑site administration and off‑site support to ensure accommodation requirements and mobilisation for employees are completed and managed in accordance with Shutdown KPI’s. About You Demonstrated previous experience as a Shutdown Superintendent preferably in heavy industry/mining. Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and MS Project. Excellent time management, organisational and multi‑tasking skills. Strong communication and client relationship building skills. High attention to detail.
