Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, we are looking for a Principal Civil/ Structural Engineer to join our Multidisciplinary teams in Sydney or Wollongong.

In this role you have the opportunity to support and collaborate on a range of projects with other Technical Disciplines, including (but not limited to) Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology and Environmental Specialist Services, providing sustainable solutions for our national and international projects.

The role is flexibly based from either our Modern waterside Sydney offices at Subbase Platypus, or enjoying the work/life balance that the south coast can provide in our Wollongong office, at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus. Job tasks and responsibilitiesThis role offers excellent long-term rewards and opportunities for learning, expanding technical knowledge and career advancement, including:

Working on a wide range of projects at the technical advisory level, across the Infrastructure, Built Environment, Manufacturing & Industry, Mining & Resources and Power & Energy Sectors.Undertaking a rage of technical tasks, including:

Lead design and documentation of civil infrastructure and civil structuresProgram and Schedule DevelopmentTender ManagementContractor Management and SupervisionConstruction Management and Supervision

Challenge the norm with the objective of continuous improvementBuilding autonomy as a leader in the business, developing independent internal and external client relationships and growing your own project portfolio.Mentoring and leading junior engineers

ExperienceOutside wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:

12+ years’ experience with tertiary qualifications in civil engineeringCPEng AccreditationExperience in the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects,Excellent written and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationshipsCompetency in civil design, including the development of design solutions for earthworks, roadworks and drainage, civil structures, water and wastewater infrastructure.Competency in the design of civil structures is highly desirable.An extensive network and proven project winning experienceAn excellent attitude and be capable of working within a dynamic environmentHave a clear understanding and articulation of your skills and awareness of direction you want to take with career progression.
