Engineering Lead – Manufacturing Systems About the Opportunity We have an exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Systems Lead to join our SSN AUKUS program. Based out of Adelaide CBD and Port Adelaide offices, you will report to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering and lead a small team of Systems Engineers in providing technical solutions in the development of digital tools and systems used to manufacture the SSN AUKUS, focusing on quality, cost and schedule. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of the Digital Systems and Tools used in SSN AUKUS manufacturing. Interface across all AUKUS Integrated Project Teams, ensuring broad engagement and fit-for-purpose digital solutions. Ensure Systems Engineering outputs are developed per approved company procedures and meet customer operational needs. Act as primary conduit between Manufacturing Engineering and Technology teams for development, deployment, and execution of the digital toolset. Lead and support the Systems Engineering team to identify and document key inputs / outputs along the digital thread using model‑based systems engineering methodology and deploy solutions across Production Demonstration, Prototyping and Production. About You Engineering degree, chartered professional engineer, or equivalent. Demonstrated background leading complex projects involving digital tools and platforms within manufacturing, construction, or heavy engineering. Expert in systems engineering practices and methods, with proven design and development. Experience with high‑complexity, high‑change volume programmes with multiple suppliers and stakeholders. Resilience, adaptability, strong stakeholder management and engagement skills. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise issues / tasks. Foster a safe, inclusive and sustainable culture. Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain. Eligibility for ITAR clearance.
