About the opportunity Werribee Mercy Hospital is excited to offer an 8 week unpaid, clinically supported refresher program commencing in 2026. If you are a successful applicant you will receive a $10,000 scholarship from the Department of Health (DoH) to fund the completion of your program. *criteria applies. Eligibility Criteria Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Have not previously received a department scholarship to complete a nursing and midwifery refresher program Not be currently employed at Mercy Health Complete the refresher program by the due date Complete the Midwifery Refresher program with an ACM refresher learning module (price $1400 for non‑members or $900 for ACM Members) Program not suitable for newly qualified Midwives or those who have not completed a Graduate Midwifery or Nurse Program What we can offer you Supported education program individualised to your learning needs Exposure to a wide variety of clinical scenarios / simulated learning Supernumerary 8 week program (4 days per week 0.8 EFT) Clinical practice portfolio Future opportunities to work across a variety of clinical areas Successful applicants will be supported to work across all rostered shifts What you'll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
