About You Experience in loading and unloading trucks, Fork lift operation. This is a manual job so must be physically fit. Position Summary The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver and pick up, product and / or equipment to and from company sites and stakeholders, in the most efficient, economical manner possible. The driver’s other responsibilities involve; reporting, operations, service, safety and maintenance, and other duties as assigned by management. Safety and maintenance are also critical in this role and involves delivering safely, following regulations and safely operating and maintaining the delivery vehicle. The driver will maintain a positive attitude, inline with company values, which promotes teamwork within the company and a favorable image of the company. Key Requirements Experience working within a warehouse environment Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs Forklift License Minimum MR Truck License Knowledge of state transport regulations. Competent driving skills Skill to maneuver large vehicles on highways and traffic routes Knowledge of vehicle and all its parts Good Observation skills Good problem-solving and analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills Planning and organising Attention to Detail To enjoy practical and manual activities The ability to work as part of a team To be able to follow written instructions Job Responsibility Ensure that all Policies and plans are adhered to at all times Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations Ensure delivery dockets are made out prior to loading or delivery Develop and maintain an organised and efficient loading and unloading system Unload according to customers' requests Verify all items loaded and delivered Communicate safe storage and handling procedures to delivery points Submit trip report to supervisor daily Fill out trip report completely and accurately Check lights and safety equipment daily Obey all traffic laws, including : driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs, Drive defensively Report any unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisor Allow no riders who have not been approved by your supervisor Follow the regular vehicle maintenance schedule provided by your supervisor Maintain a log of their activities, condition of the vehicle and any cases of accidents Any other duties that are requested Job Functions Drivers Job Benefits 9 Day rotating Roster Sundays off must be able to work some Saturdays.
