Payroll Accountant – Sharp & Carter Join the Payroll Accountant role at Sharp & Carter. The Company This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a large and growing Australian business. The role is a 3‑month contract with potential to become permanent and requires 5 days onsite in the Sydney Olympic Park office. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the role includes: Assist the Payroll Manager with end‑to‑end weekly payroll processing, including superannuation, overtime, commissions, and WorkCover. Prepare and support payroll reports that provide management with insights into payroll performance (e.g., actual vs forecast, rostering, sick leave, overtime, and commissions). Assist with wage forecasting and related analysis. Support the rollout and implementation of the new payroll system. Oversee and process payroll independently during the Payroll Manager’s absence. Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will have 3+ years of experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes: Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude Strong attention to detail Ability to confidently work autonomously Experience with UKG or Employment Hero is highly regarded.
