Structural Steel Install Leading Hand

Working with a progressive commercial structural steel company, on medium and large scale projects for multiple builders and clients. A high achieving business is looking for high achieving individuals to progress their career within the steel industry. The role is site based, undertaking structural steel installation on various sites around Melbourne. The role title is Site Install Leading Hand, with key responsibilities being to ensure structural steelwork is installed correctly and within project schedules, work as part of a wider project team, carry out boilermaker tasks/actions as required, actively communicate with the Stevens Group Project Manager. This is a working role where leading and setting an example along with being on the tools with the team is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of structural steel installation experience. To be considered for this role you must possess strong problem-solving skills, have the ability to read and understand detailed drawings, and capable of working independently. You will require an Engineering – Heavy Fabrication Trade Qualification and a White Card. Other qualifications/tickets that would be considered advantageous for an applicant include High Risk Work Licence tickets, First Aid, Working at Heights.
