Patient Service Assistant – Far West Local Health District Location: Broken Hill NSW Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (3 month contract) Hours per Week: 38 Remuneration: $32.53 per hour + Super Responsibilities Ensure areas are cleaned according to Infection Control policies to reduce the risk of infection for staff, patients and visitors. Perform general cleaning duties including toilets, hand basins, bed screens, curtains, doors and door frames; sweep, mop, dust, remove clinical waste, restock linen and toiletries. Assist nursing staff with repositioning and lifting of patients and transport patients to various departments and locations as directed. Attend to pathology, X‑ray and prescription requests. Service and distribute patient meals, water jugs and menus; set up meal trays and ensure patients receive their morning, afternoon and evening meals.
