Facility Caretaker

We are seeking a hands‑on and reliable caretaker to assist with the afterhours day‑to‑day operation of a facility/accommodation complex in picturesque grounds in San Remo Central Coast NSW. This is a live‑in role, offering discounted on‑site accommodation. What you’ll be doing Maintain gardening and lawns Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address any issues Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on facility Support the wider team as needed with site‑related tasks and projects Adhere to all relevant site safety and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of safety Assist with function set‑up and customer check‑ins Monitor and report building issuesAct as emergency fire warden Greet customers and assist with simple enquiries in an approachable manner Prepare regular maintenance reports and attend occasional committee meetings with the Supervisor Respond to after‑hours issues or emergencies when required Ensure all facilities are locked and secure after client functions You should have Proven experience in a similar site caretaker or handyman role, ideally within a on‑site setting Strong practical skills and the ability to carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and security Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of building/site management Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to follow procedures Flexibility to handle after‑hours call‑outs when needed Previous caretaking, building, or facilities management experience is an advantage Must have a car and current driver’s licence desirable You must have a full right to work in Australia.
