As **Digital Platform Owner and Tech Lead**Hempel’s new Sitecore-based eBusiness platform went live earlier this year and is a cornerstone of our B2B e-commerce strategy. This role is a key to achieving this ambition.As **Digital Platform Owner and Tech Lead**, you will lead the evolution of our digital storefront and associated products. This dual role combines **platform ownership** and **technical leadership**, giving you the mandate to shape the roadmap, ensure technical integrity, and drive innovation across the platform lifecycle. You will work closely with marketing, commercial, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that enable growth and strengthen customer engagement.**What you will be responsible for:****Platform Ownership, Strategy and Value.** This is a joint accountability of the core platform management team (business + digital).* Define and execute the platform roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders.* Translate e-commerce strategies into scalable digital solutions. Collaborate with engineers and designers to discover and deliver solutions that are **valuable**, **viable**, **usable**, and **feasible**.* Use data-driven insights to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.* Communicate platform vision, priorities, and progress to stakeholders.**Technical Tech Leadership*** Accountable for the technical integrity, performance, and compliance of the eBusiness platform — bridging architecture, development, and operations to deliver secure, high-quality solutions* Act as Tech Lead with decision-making authority on architecture and design.* Oversee end-to-end platform design, build, and run, including vendor quality assurance.* Maintain transparency on platform health and address technical challenges proactively.**Execution & Delivery*** Drive digital initiatives that deliver towards Value Creation Plan for eBusiness* Own planning meetings for sprint planning, backlog prioritization, progress tracking* Manage interdependencies across teams and ensure timely, high-quality releases.* Take responsibility for accepting or rejecting deliverables, ensure they meet defined acceptance criteria, business needs and quality standards* Manage risks and issues with clear mitigation strategies and recommendations to senior stakeholders.**Operational Excellence*** Contribute to standardisation of methods, tools, and best practices within the Digital function and across Hempel.* Ensure compliance with Hempel’s project model, standards, and principles.* Manage external suppliers and vendors, including SoWs, deliverables, and performance tracking.* Act as the key point of contact for project communications, stakeholder briefings, and change management.We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional who has a strong technology foundation (Sitecore), experience in managing solutions throughout digital lifecycle, and passion for leading people.* 5+ years in technical leadership or enterprise platform management (such as engineering team leadership, delivery leadership or business application management leadership role)* Strong foundation in Sitecore, APIs, Microsoft Azure, DevOps & automation.* Proven track record in managing large-scale, integrated platforms.* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendors effectively.* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving.* Familiarity with modern product discovery and delivery practices.In this role you will shape the future of digital commerce in a global organization, work in a collaborative, product-led environment with high strategic impact.
