The Cottage is open four days a week and offers meals, transport, activities, and outings for older people in the St George region. It is not a residential aged care facility, but a community hub for connection, recreation, and friendship. Volunteer Responsibilities Assist with transport: Help clients safely board and exit the bus, accompany them on pickups, drop‑offs, and outings. Support activities: Join in and assist with games, crafts, and social programs at the centre. Provide companionship: Offer a friendly ear, conversation, and encouragement to older community members. Create a welcoming environment: Help staff ensure the centre is safe, supportive, and comfortable for all. Volunteers are the heart of Greenwood Cottage; without them, social programs and outings wouldn't happen.
