Senior Control Systems Engineer – Mining Focus (Current Opportunity: Bengalla Site) We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer with a solid background in mining operations and strong expertise in Rockwell automation systems . This is a site-based role at Bengalla , offering the chance to tackle technically challenging projects within a supportive team environment. While this opportunity is centred on Bengalla, it’s more than just a job – it’s a genuine career move. At Alliance Automation , you’ll work across a diverse range of projects in mining, water, oil & gas, infrastructure, and manufacturing, giving you exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industries. Location & Work Options Be Newcastle-based and use company-provided accommodation Monday to Thursday near site, OR Live locally in Muswellbrook or Singleton and commute daily to Bengalla. About the Role As a senior member of our engineering team, you will: Lead the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of advanced control systems for mining operations. Work closely with clients to define project scopes and deliver tailored automation solutions. Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance within agreed timelines and budgets. Provide ongoing technical support to optimise system performance. Champion HSEQ principles throughout all project phases. About You Extensive experience in mining environments. Strong proficiency with Rockwell control systems . A collaborative approach with the ability to lead technical outcomes. Passion for delivering innovative, high-quality automation solutions. Preferred Qualifications and Attributes Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Demonstrated experience in programming and commissioning control systems.
