Data Architect (BBBH19640) Brisbane, Australia We are seeking a Data Architect to support the effective delivery of our Client's ICT portfolio by augmenting internal teams and helping address resource constraints. The role will work closely with strategy, architecture, and project teams to ensure technology initiatives are delivered in line with established frameworks and standards. The Data Architect will translate business needs into technical data requirements, define and uphold data standards, and guide the design of stable, reliable, and integrated data solutions that support key projects planned for 2025. Salary: AUD901 - AUD1200 per day Key Responsibilities Define database and data integration requirements with project and operations teams. Maintain documentation for database configurations, integrations, metadata, lineage, classifications, mappings, and service records. Support and manage databases and data integration for BAU and projects. Work with SQL Server and Databricks (Spark SQL). Maintain accurate technical and process documentation. Provide technical guidance on data transformations. Develop and review data integration designs. Assess database designs for compute, storage, and performance needs. Ensure database implementations comply with internal policies and regulations. Build and maintain data monitoring models. Produce database architecture and design documentation. Maintain database integrity and security. Design and implement database structures and data models. Assess database structural requirements across systems and applications. Install and configure information systems. Manage data migration from legacy systems. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues. Recommend improvements to database systems. Train and support ICT staff on database processes. Respond to database-related incidents. Liaise with vendors and monitor delivery performance. Diagnose and resolve database performance issues. Ensure project documentation is complete and approved. Collaborate with vendors to develop, test, and deploy database and integration solutions. Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis, data architecture, or data management. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PowerShell. Experience in the Utilities/Resources/Energy sector. Ability to work effectively in distributed teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to anticipate and address technical challenges. Experience producing and managing RCA documentation. Ability to create solutions within data governance guidelines.
