Job Description Opportunity: The City of Albany’s Finance Team is looking for a customer focused individual to take up the role of Rates Officer. Reporting to the Rates Coordinator, this role will see you responsible for, but not limited to: Managing the collection of rates income with ratepayers, including the processing of payments, refunds, and maintaining accurate records of transactions; Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to property rating; Maintain and record property details; Assist with implementing enforcement measures. Desired Skills and Experience About you: Possession of at least 2 years financial/clerical experience. High level written and verbal communication skills; Computerised systems experience; Sound knowledge of financial principles and practices, and knowledge of work activities performed within a rates team; Strong customer service focus and commitment.
