An opportunity exists in either our Sydney or Melbourne office, for an experienced Surveying Solutions Engineer/ Trainer that specialises in providing training and solutions for our enterprise dealers with a world leading Drone brand that we distribute for the entire Australia market. We are seeking for a highly skilled and motivated surveying technical training manager to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting drone solutions for our customers, working closely with our sales and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), knowledge of drone applications, and excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Work with our sales team to understand customer requirements and develop drone solutions to meet their needs. Design and implement surveying drone solutions, including hardware and software components, for specific customer applications. Provide technical expertise and support to customers throughout the sales and implementation process. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product management, to provide customer feedback and input for product development related to drone solutions. Develop and deliver technical training and support materials for customers and internal teams on the use and maintenance of UAV and related equipment for drone solutions. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to drone solutions to inform business decisions. Conduct testing and validation of drone solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and product specifications. Maintain accurate documentation and records for all drone solutions implemented. Some level of business travels may be required of you to perform training offsite (away from the office) with our sales team members for our dealers and end users. Interstate travel expenses will be reimbursed. Conduct before/afterhours classroom style training as required (usually during business hours) onsite or offsite. Technical Skills required: MUST have experience in surveying or aerial surveying (unmanned aircraft systems and drone applications preferred but not essential). Experience or exposure to Boundary survey, Aerial survey and/or Topographical Survey is highly desirable. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical expertise to customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Be the Subject Matter Expert for any technical questions relating to our enterprise grade products. General Skills required: Minimum 1-year experience in a surveying role or fresh graduate from a surveying or geomatics degree. Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Conduct instructor led‑classroom training to groups or individuals. Punctual but flexible as required by the organisation. Customer orientation and ability to build relationships internally & externally. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Setup and troubleshoot for customers through audio visual and video conferencing as required. Advanced level of Microsoft Office suite, especially proficient in PowerPoint presentations.
