Project Manager – Microsoft 365 & Cyber Security Projects Empyrean IT is looking for an experienced and confident Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of Microsoft 365 and Cyber Security projects for our clients. We’re after someone who thrives on delivery. Someone who can own projects end-to-end , manage relationships with senior stakeholders, handle competing priorities, and present themselves professionally as a consultant representing Empyrean. You’ll be working with a supportive, high-performing team and delivering meaningful digital transformation outcomes for some of our most valued clients. This role is based in Melbourne, with a minimum of two days in the office each week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Your role will include: Leading project delivery – scoping, planning, and managing timelines, milestones, and dependencies using Jira and ConnectWise. Client engagement – acting as the face of Empyrean in meetings, managing relationships, facilitating workshops, and clearly communicating project updates. Stakeholder coordination – navigating competing priorities, building trust, and ensuring alignment between technical teams and client expectations. Risk and issue management – staying one step ahead and resolving challenges to keep the project on track. Maintaining project hygiene – updating schedules, documenting actions and decisions, and ensuring clear, timely communication. Contributing to continuous improvement – providing feedback on internal processes and helping us improve the way we deliver. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 5–8 years of experience in project management within an IT consulting or services environment. A track record of delivering Microsoft 365 or Cyber Security projects , such as Exchange Online migrations, SharePoint intranet builds or securing environments through Microsoft cloud tools. Confident communication skills – able to lead meetings, influence decisions, and engage stakeholders at all levels. The ability to handle ambiguity and conflicting priorities while keeping things moving. Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams in parallel, often under pressure. Strong sense of ownership , resilience , and a consultative mindset . QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or related fields.
