Mechanical Project Engineer RoleD4C is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in the waste water program of works across the Southern Region. As a Project Engineer in this role, you will be leading a program of works and joining at the start of a 10-year project. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Construction Leads to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
Setting daily, weekly, and long term project programs to achieve required project outputs.
Monitoring costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects.
Contributing to project constructability with respect to design development.
Undertaking tender evaluation and award of subcontract procurement packages.
Managing the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications.
Using document and record management for project reporting compliance.
Demonstrating people management skills by managing work and performance of self-perform workforce and subcontractors.
Liaising and coordinating with external parties and statutory authorities.
Fostering a good safety, quality, environment, and community culture.
Essential RequirementsThe ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years' engineering experience.
Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning, and legislative requirements.
Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
Client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
Highly competent with MS Office.
Driver's license and White card.
