Thiess is the place to make things happen. About the Role Our QCoal Northern Hub Coal Project is situated 10km south of Collinsville in the Bowen Basin. Thiess is seeking two Trade Assistants for permanent employment opportunity working on our QCoal open‑cut coal mining. Your next Trade Assistant will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and you will work collaboratively towards delivering high‑quality solutions and results. In this Role You Will Support tradespeople with workshop tasks and repairs Assist store personnel with inventory & warehouse duties Perform general site maintenance including mowing / spraying / repairs Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times Bring a positive can‑do attitude with a strong focus on safety General workshop duties as required About You Prior experience working as a Trade Assistant on a mine site or construction industry (highly regarded) HR drivers licence preferable A commitment to a positive safety culture Be committed to our principles of Integrity Accountability Innovation & Delivery Desirable Qualifications Forklift - High Risk Current Standard 11 (or willing to obtain) What Thiess Can Do For You 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster 12-hour day & night shift Permanent shirt from commencement no labour hire Camp accommodation inclusive of meals provided BIBO from Townsville Thiess commitment to training & developing About Us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open‑cut and underground mining.
