In this role, you'll:


you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of services across our operations. You will lead a small team responsible for identifying and investigating root causes when issues arise, preventing systemic quality issues within our management systems, and ensuring that contractual outcomes are met.

You will also provide specialist quality control capability in advanced or specialist trade/engineering disciplines.


This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to monitor trends, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Role description.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead a small team of quality assurance officers to investigate root causes and ensure no systemic quality issues with management systems.
• Ensure that contractual outcomes are being met and any service decreases are reported and analysed for risk and performance trade-offs.
• Coordinate and manage field surveillance, ensuring that records are kept up to date, tasks are conducted efficiently, and compliance is maintained.
• Provide evidence for issuing quality infringements (e.g., Non-Conformance Product Notices (NCPNs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs)) and support monthly analysis and reporting on risks and performance trends.
• Collaborate with Contract Relationship Managers and other stakeholders to provide insights into service providers’ performance and identify systemic issues.
• Ensure that asset information is captured and maintained according to contract terms, enabling TfNSW asset owners to manage quality outcomes effectively.


About you


We are looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Coordinator who has:
• Demonstrated expertise in the technologies, practices, and processes related to maintenance works in a specialised field relevant to our operations (Road, Motorways, Bridge, Tunnels etc.)
• A proven ability to manage teams, including capability development, performance management, and resource allocation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience in quality management, maintenance, or engineering.
