We’re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our global team of experts within a large and well‑established international consultancy, giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting. Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects. Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery. Working as part of a team on projects from conception, through to final design and construction surveillance. Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture. What you will bring to the team: A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering. A minimum of 8-12 years’ industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment. Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials. Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards. Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers. We’re open to discussing full time or part time options. Interested?
