About the Role This role supports the Flying Doctor Wellbeing program in the Shepparton region, providing mental health care to individuals, families, and groups in rural and remote communities. It is suited to a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and at least five years of experience in mental health. You’ll work across face‑to‑face and telehealth settings, delivering evidence‑based interventions and care planning. Experience working with clients affected by alcohol and drug use is desirable. The role requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to supporting communities with limited access to mental health services. Key responsibilities Deliver evidence‑based mental health interventions and manage a full client caseload, including intake, assessment, and care coordination. Monitor and manage clinical risk in consultation with supervisors and participate in regular clinical supervision. Travel regularly to isolated communities to provide in‑person support and refer clients within the stepped care framework. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support client outcomes and promote the service through community engagement. Maintain accurate clinical records, uphold confidentiality, and contribute to quality improvement and governance activities. To be successful, you will need: Relevant tertiary qualification and be a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA. Minimum 5 years’ experience in mental health. Desirably have experience working with clients who have drug and alcohol problems. Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and care planning, with a deep understanding of challenges faced by rural and remote communities. Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
