Marrickville Auto Body Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic for our Simons Auto Electrics and All Mechanical Repairs location who can perform the following responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical problems and perform diagnostic tests to determine the cause of the issue; Repair and replace faulty parts, such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and steering systems.; Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups; Test drive vehicles to verify the repair work and ensure that the problem has been fixed; Use computerized diagnostic equipment to help diagnose complex issues; Keep detailed records of all work performed on each vehicle; Communicate with customers to explain the necessary repairs and provide cost estimates; Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and customers. Required Qualifications Trade Qualified Mechanic (at least Cert III and IV in Automotive) At least 2 years' work experience is required Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Have previous experience within the passenger transport industry A current driver's licence.
