Lecturer in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science Role type: Full-timeFaculty: ArtsSchool: School of Historical and Philosophical StudiesSalary: $124,656 - $148,023 p.a. plus 17% super About the Role As a Lecturer at the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, you will teach and develop subjects in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science, supervise honours students, and engage with academic networks nationally and internationally. You will contribute to a vibrant academic community and make a lasting impact in your field. Responsibilities Lead engaging teaching: coordinate and deliver philosophy subjects, including the development of technology‑based teaching resources. Advance research excellence: publish peer‑reviewed articles and collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects. Foster academic networks: cultivate research links with campus groups and external partners. Demonstrate leadership: engage actively in service and leadership roles within the discipline and school. Qualifications and Experience We are looking for an individual who: Has a proven track record in teaching and research in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science. Can supervise honours students and engage in academic networks. Is a passionate educator with expertise in the subject area. Possesses strong academic performance and well‑established teaching skills. Demonstrates a capacity for excellence in teaching and subject coordination. Exhibits professional and collegial behaviour, committed to the Faculty’s values. Holds current working rights to work in Australia. Cannot rely on visa sponsorship.
