About the role As a VET Trainer Assessor, you'll deliver accredited, industry‑aligned training programs to secondary school students across urban and remote NT schools. You'll help students work towards their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET) while building the skills and confidence to transition into employment or further study. Key responsibilities Deliver competency‑based training and assessment in your field. Partner with schools, communities, and industry to ensure training is relevant and contextualised. Support continuous improvement through resource development, validation, and mentoring. Support Youth Justice VET programs, providing young people with structured, accredited learning pathways that promote confidence, growth, and future opportunity. About you Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent – or a willingness to obtain. Recent industry experience in Construction, Engineering, Electrocoms, Hospitality, Conservation & Ecosystem Management, Agriculture and/or vocational literacy and numeracy intervention. Experience delivering accredited VET programs in schools or similar settings. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A commitment to innovation, inclusion, and lifelong learning.
