Test Analyst

We are looking to appoint a talented and experienced Test Analyst who is passionate about quality. The role would ideally suit someone that is located in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast. About the role This is a full-time role from 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday offering the successful candidate the option to work remotely and occasionally from our Gold Coast office. Reporting to the Test Manager, your responsibilities will include: Reviewing requirements and specifications to define effective test conditions. Designing test cases and scripts, ensuring alignment with predetermined criteria. Executing tests, recording results, and reporting outcomes clearly. Analysing and reporting on test activities and results to stakeholders. Identifying and reporting issues, defects, and risks related to system functionality and testing effectiveness. Using appropriate methods and tools to develop, maintain, and distribute quality standards. Applying quality management models and techniques to identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with senior team members to determine corrective actions that reduce errors and enhance system quality. Your experience Certified ISTQB Foundation Minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar role is essential Proven experience in planning, designing, and manually executing test plans and cases, for both functional and non-functional testing. Experience in at least two of the following testing disciplines: performance/load/stress, accessibility, interoperability, system, functional, integration, regression, or user acceptance testing. Demonstrate excellent documentation practices, with a strong focus on ensuring clear traceability of the test outcome. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with product specialists, software developers, and business stakeholders. Experience using and understanding manual testing techniques to achieve effective testing outcomes. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop reports, analyse outputs, and recommend actions. Experience in raising, tracking, and retesting defects. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks to meet agreed service standards. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and pay close attention to detail. Experience using DevOps or similar. Familiar with agile task boards, Planner or similar. Automated test experience would be advantageous but not essential.
