WSP Australia is seeking a skilled and experienced Associate to Associate Director level Electrical Engineer to join our Sydney team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to a range of exciting projects across Transport, Aviation, Defence, Data Centre, Commercial and other sectors. About the Role As an Associate/ Associate Director level Electrical Engineer, you will provide expertise in electrical design for both single and multi-disciplinary projects. Your role will involve leading small to medium-sized design projects, ensuring best practice delivery while managing costs and timelines, and developing strong relationships with clients. This role is also an opportunity to drive the development of our Building Services team and contribute to the achievement of our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors. Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery. Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality. Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs. Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit by supporting strategic goals and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall success. Key Requirements Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation. Experience with High Voltage (HV) systems and substations on infrastructure projects, particularly across Defence, Transport, and Data Centre sectors. 12+ years’ industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment. Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector. Strong client relationship management and project management skills. Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.). Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous). Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP). What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
