The Duty Security Controller is responsible for managing the provision of continuous security advice, expertise and services to Qantas Group management and staff on Corporate Security Policies, legislation and procedures, and to anticipate risks, assess threats, and recommend changes to security procedures as required. To manage the 24‑hour operational security response capability within the Integrated Operations Centre ‘IOC’, provide first point of contact for emergency response and the provision of security advice to management and key stakeholder. To monitor world events and gather information to enable threats to be assessed and escalated when required. Manage 24/7 operational security response within the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), providing expert advice and immediate support during security incidents and emergencies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Corporate Security Policies, legislation, and evolving threat landscapes. Permanent position based at our Mascot Campus. You'll have – 5 years aviation experience preferred Minimum HSC or equivalent essential with associated tertiary qualifications desirable The ability to hold an Australian Government National security clearance NV1 Experience in risk assessment, planning and coordination of security or related operations Self‑motivated with highly effective communication skills, driven by goals and customer focused. Demonstrated ability to problem solve collaboratively, through effective negotiation and communication. Have the ability to effectively analyse multiple operational issues and formulate solutions within restricted timeframes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to details Excellent time management, written and verbal communications skills A self‑starter who is team oriented, ability to lead others and has the ability to self‑manage to achieve high levels of accuracy, productivity and efficiency. Demonstrated commitment to Safety. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, information systems and knowledge of access control systems. Why Qantas?
