This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in corporate governance, who thrive on delivering expert guidance and building trusted relationships with Boards and senior executives.
This role offers flexibility, open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne CBD.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne CBD Key Responsibilities Operational Management Deliver technically precise, commercially sound advice on the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, corporate governance, and best practices.
Attend Board and Committee meetings, preparing accurate, timely, and professional minutes.
Manage annual reporting, draft notices for meetings, and oversee member meeting logistics.
Lead corporate action projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
Coordinate workflows across Company Matters and the broader MUFG Pension & Market Services Group to support new business functions.
Partner with client Boards and Management teams to achieve and maintain high standards in governance.
Stakeholder Engagement Communicate effectively and build lasting relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including Directors, senior executives, regulators, and external advisors.
Engage confidently with diverse portfolios of stakeholders, demonstrating a deep understanding of their varied needs and interests.
People Leadership Mentor and support team members within Company Matters, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration.
Experience & Personal Attributes Demonstrated experience in an ASX-listed company secretarial, legal, or finance role, or with a top-tier law firm supporting ASX-listed clients.
Strong expertise in ASX Listing Rules, particularly in continuous disclosure, and comprehensive knowledge of the Corporations Act.
Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple clients and projects, and make sound judgments under pressure.
Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of company secretarial and governance work.
Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), with a proven ability or genuine desire to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
