The opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Auditor to join our growing Audit team. Working within a small, fast-paced environment you will work with a diverse range of clients across different industries both in our office and off-site. Responsibilities will include assisting in the completion of interim and final audits by: Identifying and gathering required information Assisting in the preparation of all financial statements to review stage Carrying out audit testing to help assess clients’ internal controls Execute substantive testing of transactions, account balances and disclosures to verify financial information Assist in physical inventory counts and observations to verify the existence and valuation of inventory You will also be involved in the accounting, taxation and subsequent financial reporting. This role has exposure to a great mix of international and Australian businesses across a wide variety of industries. Your experience and attributes To be considered for this role you must be a motivated, accounting graduate with a minimum of 2 years external audit experience, ideally working in a chartered accounting firm in an audit environment. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Commenced your CA program or are part way through the program Solid technical and analytical abilities, with high attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines A professional approach to work and enjoy interacting with clients and working as part of a close knit team Inquisitive and critical thinking skills to whom professional skepticism comes naturally Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel is essential and experience with CaseWare advantageous.
