Position Title: Accountant Reports To: Operations Manager / Director Employment Type: Full-time Location: Caboolture QLD 4510, Queensland Australia Position Summary The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of our client. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and NDIS financial reporting guidelines, and providing management with timely and accurate financial insights to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and BAS / IAS lodgements. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger entries. Monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenditure across disability support programs. Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and NDIS financial regulations. Assist auditors and management in preparing financial reports and documentation. Develop and implement internal financial controls and risk management procedures. Provide cost analysis, budgeting advice, and recommendations for financial efficiency. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA / CA qualification preferred). Minimum of 2–3 years of professional accounting experience. Experience in the disability or community services sector is desirable. Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks accounting software. Knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, and superannuation regulations. Key Skills and Attributes High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to handle confidential financial and client information with discretion. Sound time management and organisational skills.
